COVID-19  CHANGES

Please note the following recommended changes to our operation set out by governing authority OMAFRA and Berry Growers of Ontario. 

• AS ALWAYS.....Please call our Berry Hotline before coming out to ensure we are open and to check on availability !!  It is common for us to need to take days off to allow our fields to ripen....don't waste a trip out....call 705-855-9901

• It is mandatory that customers NOT come to the farm if they are displaying symptoms of COVID19 or have come in contact with someone who has.

• Customers are encouraged to use our hand washing stations or hand sanitizer before and after picking strawberries.

• Please take note of NEW SIGNAGE indicating line ups for "Pre-Picked Only", "U-Pick Check In" and "U-Pick Check Out".

• We will NO LONGER ACCEPT CONTAINERS FROM HOME.  Unused, single use baskets will be provided for our U-Pick customers.

• U-Pick baskets will be sold by VOLUME rather than weight.  This will help to reduce excess handling of the containers as well as increase efficiencies in our check out line.

• Customers will maintain a 2m physical distance in all line ups as well as out in the field.  Strawberry picking is already a socially distanced activity and we encourage customers to be mindful of this while out in the fields.

• Families will pick together in a group.

• NO SAMPLING of strawberries.  This makes us sad as well!  But this precaution will help to avoid any contamination of the strawberries.

• Pre-Picked baskets will be chosen by sight rather than touch.

• NO PETS....we love our dog too!!  But even our dog is NOT allowed in the field!

Taking these proactive steps will help to protect our amazing customers and employees as well as create a positive, relaxing experience out in our fields.  We know this is not ideal for everyone, but with your cooperation and support, we can remain open during these uncertain times and stay in business for years to come....OUR FAMILY APPRECIATES YOU!!
